Steady lock canvas – Interlock or twisted
For embroidery projects that we wish to cut in any free shape like a heart or flower, there is the appropriate fabric.
We call it Steady or Interlock is the fabric with the tightest weave as the warp threads are twisted together to lock the weft threads and make the intersections more rigid. Looks like mono-canvas but it is made of a pair of threads twisted together to create a fabric when cut does not have loose threads. This is why it can be cut in free shapes like circles, harts or any other. The ADAMS® Steady canvas collection has a variety of Counts that starts from 3.25 the widest & finish to 7,5 counts the finest.
It is best used for continental, tent stitch or basket-weave stitches and gives excellent results for pillows & pompon rugs.
